More Gas for the Fringe and drippy chain trend

I often look to the art world for inspiration -and have been yelled at by many a gallery guard for snapping the odd photograph to remember a piece by.  These of course make me think of the fringe trend that you see all over the place right now.  I've posted two of my many favorites below- It's hard to call this a "trend" as it never seems to go away.  I've been doing drippy chain earrings for clients as long as I've been designing jewelry, but you always have to find a new way to do it and I like the combination of color- thread and tacking to stations.  Makes me think of the thread paintings of the 70's as well.

If I ever needed a new engagement ring

I have a lovely tension set engagement ring by the late Stephen Kretchmer and I love it dearly-
that said-if I was ever going to get another diamond- I think I'd be looking up this lovely designer.

It brings me back to my RISD roots- very minimal- inventive settings
all around amazing craftsmanship.

Thank you Arman for making pearls cool

Couture Design Awards in Vegas

I can't believe this was the second runner up.  Arman Sarkisyan is my hero.  His work is always amazing --dark and magical--exquisitely crafted with a level of creativity that can only be called extreme.
